2020

A very small harvest. 2020 will likely be South Australia’s smallest harvest for some time. Tiny yields were the result of another dry year following the similarly dry 2019 season. A very windy November resulted in poor fruit set and reduced the number of berries on each bunch. December was very warm and concerns were held for the quality and timing of the harvest. However, January and February were much cooler than average and harvest commenced a little earlier than average but under welcome mild ripening conditions. The signature of our 2020 wines is silky texture arising from fine, well ripened tannins.
