A significant hail event in late November along with very windy, stormy conditions compromised flowering. Lower yields due to reduced berry number per bunch were the result. Some very hot days during January accelerated maturity. Harvest was early and condensed. A year to be thankful for our investment in extra fermentation vats so the vintage could be harvested quickly. Lower yields have resulted in intense colour and highly concentrated wines. A gentle hand in the cellar was important in taming what could have been too much of a good thing."}]}]}
