2011

A wet year. A cool, wet spring led to late flowering and harvest. Yields were average. Well managed vineyards on shallow and well drained soils showed their worth, particularly those in the earliest ripening sites. A vintage in which the best producers shone on the back of attention to detail in the vineyard. Emmanuelle’s experience of wet Bordeaux and Burgundy vintages was invaluable. The best wines of 2011 share medium-bodied elegance and Asiatic spice fragrance as their signature.
