Multiple picking days, bringing together a blend from four vineyards — two in Clarendon, alongside sites in Seaview and Blewitt Springs. An average of 22% whole bunch, basket-pressed and matured in French puncheons and concrete.
There’s a clear sense of the vintage here: lofty blackberries, creeping ivy, and blue plum, with hints of thorny rose stem and winter herbs. Everything is wrapped tightly in fine tannins and beautifully grown natural acidity.The wine feels seamless and effortless — though no doubt it is anything but. There is a quiet grace in the union of two varieties that seem to adore one another, in Bekkers bottling they are made for one and another, destined to share the same glass. Celebrate their pairing with a sizzling beef and black bean dish.
