This is from the Clarendon Vineyard Estate. There’s about 14% cabernet franc in the wine too.
An attractive, floral tinged, spicy, dark fruited perfume with a touch of ferrous earthiness in tow. The palate flows beautifully, swivels on the grip of silty tannin, delivers a masterclass in forest berry fruitiness with dashes of mint, dark chocolate, clove and wheat biscuits. It fits together very, very well. Richness on hand, a medium weight feel with some grip and tension though. And impressive persistence. Ticks fine wine boxes all over the place.
